Morrisons Equal Pay

Large numbers of Morrisons store workers are currently bringing a claim against Morrisons for equal pay.

They are doing so to challenge how large retailers pay their employees in different areas of their business.

What is the claim about?

It’s about the work of store staff being of ‘equal value’ to the work done by colleagues in the distribution centre and that they should be paid the same.

A successful claim needs to show that:

  • your work is of equal value
  • the reason for the difference in pay is due to your gender and can’t be justified.

We specialise in equal pay claims and are confident in offering to work on a ‘no win no fee’ basis.

And if you’ve worked for Morrisons for more than six years, you may be entitled to the maximum amount of back pay.

Male store workers can also claim

If a female store worker is successful in an equal value pay claim when her work is compared to a male distribution worker, and her pay and contractual benefits are increased as a result then you, as a male store worker, can piggy-back her claim and enjoy the same pay increase and contractual benefits that she does.

Who can claim?

  • It doesn’t matter whether you’re male or female. What does matter is that you’re paid by the hour and have worked at a Morrisons store in England or Wales in the last six years, or in Scotland in the last five years.
  • No-win, no-fee – The claim is being brought on a no-win, no fee basis.

To join the claim, please register online or call our equal pay team on 0845 494 0744.

It’s good what you’re doing

It's good what you’re doing. From my experience in working in my branch the majority of women are doing unappreciated, heavy work which should be paid equally to those in the distribution centres
